Anne of Cleves Barn
Neil and Kate had a perfect September day for their wedding at the Great Lodge in Great Barnfield. The ceremony and reception were held in The Anne of Cleves Barn which is an impressive Grade 1 listed barn built when the estate was owned by Anne of Cleves following the annulment of her marriage to King Henry VIII. In the morning the bride Kate got ready at Six Apples, which is newly refurbished eighteenth century former Coach house in the North Essex countryside. The ladies were right at home in their fab matching kimonos, laughing and smiling as they prepared for the big day. Kate looked absolutely stunning, her dress was gorgeous, her hair soft and romantic and her teardrop bouquet the biggest I’ve seen yet!! The bridesmaids wore striking royal blue which continued as their theme throughout the wedding. At the venue the groom Neil and his groomsmen were all smiles as they welcomed the guests. The barn looked very pretty, the up-lighting and flowers set a beautiful scene for the entrance of the bride. After the ceremony the guests enjoyed the sun in the walled garden where they could wander and visit the vineyard on the estate. Onto the reception and the barn was dressed to impress with magnificent table centrepieces. Food and drinks were served and the guests were all in high spirits for the entertaining speeches. Then to the dance floor where the band and awesome light up letters were ready to rock. Half way through the first dance there was a surprise confetti canon and then unbeknown to his wife the groom had secretly planned to join the band and show off his rockstar skills! And to keep the surprises going the mother of the bride had arranged a superb fireworks display to set the evening off with a bang!!! I loved everything about this wedding and Neil and Kate were a pleasure to photograph, natural and smiley throughout the day, massive congratulations to the happy couple!!
