Tipi Festival Wedding
Becky and Steve had a tipi festival wedding in their home town of Staplehurst back in sunny August. I’d been to the little picturesque town previously for their engagement shoot where I got to know them both and hear all about their fab wedding plans, and I was really excited to see everything come together. Becky and Steve got ready at their respective parents houses, which are literally around the corned from each other…handy for me. The ladies were very relaxed doing their make-up in Becky’s bedroom, and down the road Steve and the guys were getting suited and booted….’Converse All Star High Top style’! Becky looked stunning in her elegant flowing dress that was complimented perfectly with a bespoke handmade necklace in her favourite clover leaf pattern. The ceremony was held at the local church and the reception just a few hundred meters along the high street in a friends back garden. After the ceremony I went with Becky & Steve for photos in the same woods we used for their engagement shoot which was lovely mirror the occasions. After the photos we joined the rest of the guests at the ‘Bassett Wedfest’. The garden had been transformed, the tipi marquee taking centre stage surrounded by fab little details that really set the festival scene. As with all good festivals there was a set list which started with an acoustic guitarist leading up to the main act of the evening, which just happened to be the band the groom plays with!! There were loads of cool little touches that made this wedding extra special, and the Lego cake made by both the mum’s was definitely the best I’ve ever seen!! It was a fun-filled festival wedding, the sun was shining, the beer flowing and the music pumping loud all over Staplehurst, what more could you want!! I really enjoyed getting to know Becky & Steve and loved photographing their tipi festival wedding. Massive congratulations to them both!! xx
