Corpus Christi College
This wedding was a real treat for me as I got to experience Oxford University for the day, and it was rather impressive. The bride and groom were both students at Corpus Christi College so it was fitting for them to have their wedding there. The ancient buildings are some of the most beautiful in Oxford and overlook gardens and meadows making it a uniquely splendid venue. The ceremony was held in the University Church of St Mary the Virgin, which was just as impressive and beautifully dappled in sunlight for the nuptials. The college and the church were only five minutes walk apart and the bride Dawn casually took to the streets with her bridesmaids turning heads and she went. Likewise after the ceremony the wedding party and the guests all piled out onto the streets of Oxford amongst the crowds and tourists, taking it all in their stride as they strolled with the new husband and wife back to the venue. It was a beautiful summers day and the guests enjoyed drinks and canapés in the beautiful college gardens, taking in the surroundings. The wedding breakfast was served in a wood panelled room that reminded me of something out of Harry Potter and was totally fitting with the whole day. Onto the speeches, all of which were funny, witty and full of emotion. For the evening reception it was over to another more modern building where the band were ready for the first dance and to get the party started, which it certainly did!! And the Groom Craig and his brother were pulling out some serious moves, it was an incredible double act! I really loved Craig & Dawn’s wedding, the venue was stunning and the whole day had a real air of cool sophistication. Massive congratulations to Craig & Dawn xx
