Engagement shoot Leith Hill
Rowan and Pete
Rowan and Pete’s engagement shoot Leith Hill was booked for mid March, which was exactly when the ‘beast from the east’ decided to make an appearance! But this didn’t deter these brave photo warriors and off we set to face the icy winds on the highest point in Surrey. Rowan and Pete are from Scotland so they are used to harsh weather and they chose Leith Hill as it’s a place they love to go walking as it reminds them of home. And it certainly did feel like we were in the Scottish Hills on this cold, snowy morning. Leith Hill is fantastic, I’ve been walking there myself a few times. It’s a popular place but not surprisingly the hill was solitary that day which was absolutely perfect for our shoot. When I said to my husband I was still going out to do the photos he thought I was nuts. But I’m so pleased we did, the white canvas and falling snow flakes made for a stunning setting. The wind was biting at the top of the hill but you would never know looking at the smiles on Rowan and Pete’s faces. They were total champions and we had such an amazing walk in the snow that it’s one I’ll never forget. They were having a summer wedding so getting these wintery shots is a lovely contrast for their engagement shoot.
Next time it’s snowing I’m heading straight for Leith Hill with my camera!
