Nutfield Priory Wedding
Debra and John
What sticks in my mind when I think of Debra & John’s Nutfield Priory wedding is laughter!! There was so much laughter, especially from the bride Debra who didn’t stop all day and it certainly was infectious. John the groom is a photographer himself which always adds to the pressure for me but I tried not to think about it too much. And as I fully appreciate for someone who’s used to being the other side of the camera it can be quite unfamiliar having a lens pointing your way all day. And even though I do remain as inconspicuous as possible, when it’s your wedding day the focus is ultimately on you. With this slightly uncomfortable feeling John found the best way of coping with the attention was to keep laughing, so between the bride and groom it was giggles all day!
Nutfield Priory is a former mansion house inspired by the Neo-Gothic splendour of the Palace of Westminster. A unique Victorian building set high on Nutfiled Ridge in the beautiful Surrey countryside and only a 10 minutes drive from my house which was such a treat! The whole wedding was very relaxed, the guests were all close family and friends and it really was a great celebration of Debra & John’s union in a superb setting. And it was hot hot hot!! The sun was blazing down all day, I don’t know how the boys coped in their 3-piece suits with tweed waistcoats! But you can’t complain when the sun comes and what better place to be than in the Surrey countryside with fantastic views looking out onto the South downs.
Debra and John’s Nutfield Priory wedding was a relaxed day full of love and laughter. Massive congratulations on Debra & Johh!
