Royal Military Academy Sandhurst Wedding
Christie & Eddie
Christie and Eddie had their Royal Military Academy Sandhurst Wedding on a glorious sunny June day. This was my first experience of photographing a military wedding, which was actually the same as any other wedding except for the wonderful military uniforms and traditional exit from the chapel through the Guard of Honour. The grounds of Royal Military Academy Sandhurst were impressive and vast, so much so that I had trouble actually finding the chapel which is never good to settle the nerves when you are cutting close for time after waiting for the Father of the Bride to get ready!! Yes I said FOB not bride, Christie was ready on time and was left waiting at the top of the staircase at the Aviator Hotel to be walked down the stairs!! But fear not I arrived on time, albeit a little flustered and met the wonderful groom Eddie and his Best Man. I wish I could remember the name of this Best Man (I’m writing this blog so long after the wedding) as he literally was the best man!!! He was incredibly helpful and ridiculously polite, looked after me all day, kept me informed, organised people, he was a superstar….usually the groomsmen have no idea whats going on!! The gorgeous Christie arrived in a taxi as her father is a taxi driver so only fitting and Eddie has a small obsession for the black beasts so there was I assume only one choice of vehicle for the day! The ceremony was held at the Memorial Chapel which was a stunning building with great light, a perfect spot to say their ‘i do’s’. After the serious bit was done it was all fun and games from there on in. First there was drinks and photos on the steps of what is one of the iconic buildings, sorry I don’t know any specifics on that one but it looked fab! Then there were a load more drinks down by the lake!! The lake looked like a summer camp and everyone was certainly in the team spirit. There were games to entertain the guests, like hit a nail in a stump of tree…I’d not seen that before but it looked fun and actually not as easy as you might think. A couple of young lads were playing the steal drums and I think every wedding should have steal drums they just make you feel good. So drinks drunk, games played and it was into the marquee for the grub and speeches. And the Best Man was on point with his wit and delivered his gags like a master, he had everyone, especially Eddie in stitches. Onto the evening and everyone was ready to PARTY!!! Christie and Eddie were great fun, they looked so relaxed all day, having the time of their lives, I loved being party of this magical day. Massive congratulations Christie and Eddie xx

Kind Words from Christie & Eddie –
Lynsey was our wedding photographer on 3 Jun 17 – before the day itself she was extremely helpful and asked us exactly what it was we wanted. She was fantastic on the day, never got in the way and was very friendly and accommodating. We have just received the photos – 700 of them – and are really happy. There is a good mixture of posed and natural photographs and we can’t wait to get them printed and framed. I highly recommend Lynsey – thank you very much.
